What makes Beamish Glamping Unique

Beamish Glamping is the only site in the North East to offer this unique heritage twist on glamping. With a long local history in mining, these carriages have been sourced locally, stripped to the metal frame & fully restored with all the modern 5-star conveniences a traveller could expect. Ideally situated in the heart of rural Co. Durham the site is only a short distance away from the cities of Durham Newcastle & Sunderland.

Each carriage has private decking areas ideal for al fresco dining (weather permitting) & hot tubs for a relaxing soak under the stars. Locally there are two popular restaurants, an Italian & an Indian under 200m from the site. Off-road parking is available.

The UK’s most popular challenge cycle route travels 137 miles between the Irish Sea & the North Sea passing through the Northern Lake District before climbing the Pennines and descending to the railway paths of Co. Durham
