Your Huts In The HillsStaycation

Huts in the Hills is a luxury glamping business found in the Northumberland National Park. They have three traditional shepherds huts, one double hut and our new addition The Hütte, a two-story cabin.

The huts range in size from their smallest – Dunmore which sleeps two. Hedgehope is a little more spacious but still sleeps two. Cheviot sleeps four (with children’s bunk beds). Their largest, Maylies, sleeps five (two double beds and a bunk bed). The Hütte sleeps two but is their most luxurious.

They are all spaced far apart, giving each hut complete privacy and have their own little garden areas perfect for self-catering or if preferred meals can be provided.

The huts can be a base to go off and explore other parts of Northumberland or you don’t need to leave at all and enjoy the peace and quiet, soak in the spectacular views or enjoy a walk in the countryside.

What Makes Huts In The Hills Unique?

Set in the heart of Northumberland, under the dark skies and in the stunning rolling countryside. With incredible views of the Northumberland countryside in all directions, the luxury shepherds huts are the ultimate glamping experience. Offering you boutique accommodation in the most remote and romantic setting.

The four shepherds huts take luxury glamping to a whole new level, with outdoor antique French baths and indoor power showers in every hut.

The location is remote! They’re in the middle of nowhere, offering a wonderful escape from everyday life and a chance to be surrounded by nature and nothing else.

Inside is full of luxurious features: Egyptian cotton sheets on a Kingsize bed, gas hob and oven, fridge, hot shower, wood-burning stove (and a flushing indoor toilet).

On the outdoor terrace, you can sit and take in the 360-degree views of the Northumberland countryside. Whether you’re sitting at the outdoor table or soaking in the French antique bath. Outside there is a fire pit, seating area and extensive views of the Northumberland countryside in a very private setting – apart from the odd sheep!

All the little things have been thought of too – lots of hidden storage, books, games and toiletries.

A welcome pack of tea, coffee, butter and bread will be ready in your hut on arrival. Delicious meals and breakfast baskets made on the farm from local ingredients can be ordered to be delivered to your hut.

A little bit more

Delicious freshly made food made on the farm from local Northumbrian ingredients – the freshly laid eggs come from their own hens or local ones and the meat from a local butcher, They only use the finest ingredients here.

They offer a fairly extensive menu covering most tastes but let them know if you have specific dietary requirements or if you’re celebrating a special occasion.

Please note that all food needs to be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.

A welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, butter and bread will be provided on arrival.

What’s Around?

Prendwick Farm is set away from anywhere else, in the middle of the Northumberland countryside. With views of the stunning Northumberland coast as well as the spectacular Northumberland hills.

Its remoteness makes short breaks feel like you’ve had a proper weekend away. Being in the Northumberland countryside will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalised no matter what you get up to.

The farm is at the foot of the Cheviot Hills in the Northumberland National Park. Home to designated dark skies. Some of the best stargazing in the country.

There’s plenty of local walks and cycling and many attractions a short drive away, making your short break or holiday in Northumberland even better.

Dark skies: The farm is set in the International Dark Skies Park and Ingram Village Hall – a recognised dark sky discovery site – is located one mile over the hill.

Kids And Pets

Cheviot can accommodate children in a bunk bedroom and Maylies has two double beds and a small bunk over one of the doubles, enabling a family of up to five to stay.
As much they love dogs they are unable to accommodate them as the huts are often surrounded by livestock.
